It finally happened! The day I moved to KC my employment authorization card came in, and two days later I was officially an intern at an ad agency.
It is awesome.
Especially since I haven't been working for over a month.
Before starting, I sort of knew what I was getting into - I've already learned a lot about social media monitoring and SEO, but what I didn't realize is just how many people I will meet in such a short time period.
I enjoy meeting new people, but meeting people in my industry is a hundred times better.
I like talking about advertising, especially social media stuff, and I had great conversations with people who have been working in the industry longer than I've been living.
My LinkedIn and Twitter networks have just exploded with new contacts - and it's only been two days.
And I'm loving it.
Conclusion: If you're obsessed with your job, you're a workaholic - several people told me that before. I don't necessarily agree with the statement, but if that's true, I'm OK with that :)
