It's been almost a month since I graduated college. Woohoo!
I was also one of those lucky grads who landed a job (internship) before graduation. Social influence internship in an advertising agency in KC will be a perfect start of my career.
Now I just have to humbly wait until I can actually start working.
It's really weird to have so much free time - as a semi-workaholic I am not used to this at all.
My future boss gave me some great tips on what I can do with my time right now.
One of them - never stop learning (read, attend seminars, webinars, grow your network, etc.). That I have been doing a lot. Just finished rereading Groundswell by Charlene Li and Josh Bernoff and also renewed my Advertising Age subscription.
Another tip - write as much as you can (i.e. start a blog). I love to write, but personal blogging has never been my forte (several never finished journals and 2 deleted accounts on LiveJournal and WordPress can testify for that). For a long time I've been using the excuse of not having enough time to blog - I guess that one won't work anymore. So, here goes my third attempt at blogging, hence the name of the post. This one will be more professional (with just a bit of personal every now and then), timely, technical (advertising/social media/digital marketing-oriented) and hopefully, more interesting.
P.S. I have just discovered that Radiohead's "In Rainbows" goes really well with blog writing :)
